BOTSWANA-BORN rapper Veezo View believes he was destined to be a musician.
The 33-year-old, whose real name is Luvuyo Lejowa, has been making music from the age of 16 and hasn’t looked back since.
Veezo told SunBuzz about his journey and how it’s been going.
“I believe this is my path. I was born to do this. I started music when I was 16 but towards the end of high school, I stopped so I could focus on school.
“After school, I moved to Pretoria to further my studies and I met some new friends who were interested in making music. So, I got into it again and I dropped out of school to pursue music,” he said.
“I don’t regret dropping out of school even though it has been a tough journey. But I am working towards my music career and I’m enjoying it,” he continued.

The rapper recently dropped a song titled Mpulele with popular musician and comedian, William Last KRM.
“I came up with that song when the pandemic was still strongly upon us. Because we were in lockdown and artists were experiencing bad times, this was a cry for help so we could do things that we need to do to provide for our families. The song was clearly a blessing because a week after it dropped, the lockdown curfew dropped and musicians were able to go work,” he said.
Veezo is currently working on a new project that he plans to drop before the year ends. “I’ve been asking people to help me with names for the project on social media and I’m not sure if it’ll be an album or EP yet. People can expect some features, international ones as well,” he said.
“There’ll be some growth with the writing and I’ll tell real stories about my life,” said the musician.
