UZALO actor Simphiwe Majozi is considering becoming a radio presenter.

This comes after he surprised many people when he showcased his radio presenting skills on Ukhozi FM.

The 34-year-old actor and musician from Mtwalume, southern KZN, co-hosted the Vuka Afrika Breakfast Show alongside Siya Mhlongo and King Sfiso on Ukhozi FM from Monday, 18 December and 19 December.

Simphiwe was flowing on the radio, presenting like a well-experienced radio presenter.

He was part of the Ukhozi FM festive season, a special programme called Siyayijika Lento and in 2023, the station invited many guest presenters.

The actor told Daily Sun he loved radio presenting before acting at his youngest age.

The actor said he still considered taking radio presenting as his second career.

“Actual radio presenting is the same as acting. That's why I was flowing because both have scripts. I love both.

“My voice also allows me to be a radio presenter and many people normally ask me to do radio presenting, saying my voice is good for radio presenting,” he said.

Simphiwe, who plays a comic Sbu Makhathini on Uzalo, said listeners told him that his voice was for radio.

“When they see me being MC at top events, they said my voice is good, and these two days I was invited to show people my other hidden talent.

“I was invited to be a guest presenter for a week but unfortunately I won't be available because I also have to go on set because I’m busy shooting new episodes,” he said.

Simphiwe, also an Afro-pop musician, is preparing to release his long-awaited single called Sukuma

“I was supposed to release my song in June but there were some problems. I will release it in January,” he said.
