ACTOR and musician Anga “NaakMusiq” Makubalo came out victorious at the celebrity boxing match that was held at Sun City on Saturday, 9 April.

After five tough rounds, the actor who was considered as the underdog of the competition as he was mum about his training, secured a win against rapper turned amapiano sensation Cassper Nyovest, who after the match suggested he would like to have a re-match.

Speaking to Daily Sun, Anga said it was a tough fight, but he’s happy he won.

When asked about whether he would consider a re-match against Cassper, Anga said he didn’t mind at all.

“It would be another opportunity to do this all over again as it would give more spotlight to boxing and maybe from now on kids can look forward to being boxers instead of musicians for a change,” he said.

At the start of the fight,, everyone in the arena was rooting for Cassper and looking forward to him winning but NaakMusiq decided to cut the noise.

Trainer Xolisani “Nomeva” Ndongeni told Daily Sun that he couldn’t believe it when Naak Musiq was announced as the winner.

“I am very happy that all the hard work we put in paid off. This is proof that when one puts their mind to something anything is possible because when we started out Anga knew little about boxing,” he said.
