UMKHOKHA executive producer, Mandla KaNozulu, has become the latest victim of scammers.
According to his social media post, someone is using his details to ask for money from unsuspecting victims.
The scammer approaches his victims and asks if they have a First National Bank (FNB) or Capitec account.
Then he asks for R500 to R600 and promise to pay it back.
Mandla has since warned the public against this scammer.
He wrote: “Good morning friends, as I always say, I would never ask for money from anyone using social media platforms.
“Someone is using my name, so please note it’s a scam. I have reported this fake account. Niwuhlabe niwulawule (Please warn others).”
His friends and followers took turns telling their stories of how the scammer tried his luck with them.
They also shared their conversations with the scammer.
