UKHOZI FM presenter, Nongcebo McKenzie broke down in tears after she did her last show on Sunday, 31 March.

This after she was not included in Ukhozi FM's new line-up starting Monday, 1 April after she worked for the station for 16 years presenting various shows.

On Sunday, she presented her last show called Ezingasoze Zabuna from 12pm to 2:30pm and when she was saying goodbye, it could be heard in her voice that she was crying.

The show, which specialises in romantic classic songs and romantic content, will now be presented by Lucky Nkosi.

When Nongcebo was about to leave the Ukhozi studios in Durban, one of fans, Nqubeko Ndlela came to say goodbye to her with red roses and cake and she could not hold back tears.

When saying goodbye, she thanked legendary Ukhozi presenters who have retired from the station, Joe Hudla and Thanda Ndlovu and former Ukhozi FM boss Bonga Mpanza.

“I will start by thanking old people, I thank Joe Hudla. I was still young when I started doing this show, Ezingaseze Zabuna, and on all radio stations this particular show is presented by old and matured brothers.

“When I told Joe that I will not be able to present it, he said I can do it. I thank Bra Joe and I thank Thanda Ndlovu. I worked with him when we had different sports on Sunday like the Comrades Marathon, he had amazing love. I thank you Gatsheni. I thank Bonga Mpanza who was the station manager,” she said.

Nongcebo said she doesn't know where she is going and doesn't know the reason she was left out on the new line-up.

“Those who will ask me where I’m going, I don’t know. Who will ask for a reason, I don’t know. What I know is that today is my last show on Ukhozi FM.

“Thanks for love, please continue to listen to Ukhozi FM,” she said.
