TWIN sisters Owami and Olwethu Siko hit the headlines 11 years ago when they got married to the same man.

That marriage didn’t work out but the sisters, who claim to share the same soul, are once again searching for a husband.

He must understand isithembu. He will give them love and of course, he will be rich!

Twin sisters Owami and Olwethu Siko (31) managed to keep their controversial marriage to TV director Mzukiseni Mzazi going for nine years.

But now they’re hitting the trail with a reality show titled Twice as Bold.

Olwethu told Daily Sun that they were over the moon when approached with the idea.

“It has always been our shared dream to have a reality show for people to know more about us, and the way we chose to live. It was supposed to happen while we were still married, but our then husband was against it,” she said.

The sisters said they were not doing the show to look for approval for their life choices.

“We’ll be telling our story the best way we know how. The show will be educational,” said Olwethu, adding that it did not have a lot of glamour.

“People are going to connect with it because we are going to touch on things that affect them. Our childhood was traumatic. We were raised by our gogo as we have a problem with our mother. We don’t have a relationship with her, but we are trying to connect.

“Such things are going to hit home with a lot of people.”

Owami said the show was going to teach people independence and about picking up the pieces after experiencing problems.

“Our marriage was traumatic. We left it with nothing but plastic bags. That taught us to be independent, self-love and the importance of going through healing before seeking love again,” she said.

Now that they’ve healed, they were looking for love.

“We are looking for someone who understands isithembu, is rich, and who will give us the love we deserve,” said Olwethu.

When asked why they wanted to get married to the same man, Owami said it was their shared dream.

“This is our sole purpose. As long as we live we will see it through. We want to share the same man. People remind us that we are individuals and we know that, but our soul is one.”

The sisters will share their journey of accepting their spiritual calling as prophets.

“We’ve always known there was something special about us because we share one soul.

“We inherited this gift from our great-grandmother and it has been an incredible journey,” Olwethu said.

Twice as Bold premieres on Mzansi Magic every Thursday at 8pm, starting from 7 April.
