TT Mbha ready to host the 2nd Annual #TTMBHACADDYGOLFDAY

REAL estate entrepreneur and community builder Thato “TT” Mbha is gearing up to host this year’s golf day in Soweto.

The TT Mbha Caddy Golf Day was meant to be the first Soweto youth golf day last year, but ended up being cancelled at the 11th hour. And now with a new name, the event will be held next month at the Soweto Country Club.

TT told Daily Sun that the purpose of starting the event had everything to do with dignity.

“As social golfers, we decided to host this event to bring back dignity to the caddies as people never acknowledge the critical role they portray towards the game,” he said.

He further said he believed in the untapped potential of the township economy as well as its growth and sustainability.

This year, 100 caddy golfers across Gauteng will compete against one another, and the winner will walk away with the grand prize of playing at the Nedbank Golf Challenge Pro-Am, to be hosted in Sun City, North West, in November.

TT said for half the money they received for the entries, they had partnered with Nedbank to open savings accounts for the caddies and teach them the importance of saving.

“As part of the entries, I felt it was important that every caddy appreciates the importance of saving and operating a cashless business for safety reasons. We have partnered with Nedbank to assist them.”
