MZANSI has paid tribute to Ses’Top La star Busisiwe “Busi” Lurayi.

The sudden death of the actress has left the entertainment industry and ordinary citizens across the country heartbroken.

Busi, who also played Tumi on Netflix comedy How to Ruin Christmas, died on Sunday, 10 July.

Producer, actress and director Portia Gumede (45) took to Twitter on Monday to remember Busi.

She said they met while performing in Bongi Ndaba’s play Shreds & Dreams, and also worked together on Sokhulu and Partners.

“You meet Busi once and you never forget her. My sincere condolences to her family and friends,” she said.

“My first time as a producer, I’d eavesdrop between takes as Busi shared her clubbing adventures,” she said.

“When we wrapped season one of Sokhulu and Partners, did I not pull her aside and ask to tag along! She took me along but changed my wardrobe and had to approve my dance moves. Argh, sweet days.”
