WISEMAN Mncube and his business associates have given a helping hand to Khumbulani Khuzwayo.
Khumbulani, a former Isibaya and Z’bondiwe actor, lost all his belongings, his shack and his butchery business during the deadly fire that hit Kwa Mai Mai, Joburg, on Saturday, 11 June.
Mncube, who plays Sibonelo Mhlongo on SABC1’s Uzalo, visited Khumbulani at Hofland Park Community Centre along with his business associates from Allied Consortium on Wednesday, 15 June to donate R5 000 to him.
Wiseman told Daily Sun that he had initially planned to donate R20 000 to Khumbulani, but decided to split the money between more people when he saw how bad the situation of the fire victims being temporarily housed at the centre was.
“I was hurt because when I arrived there, I saw many homeless people in a bad condition with their children. I noticed they needed help but I couldn’t help them all because there were too many,” said Wiseman.

The actor urged anyone who could help to come forward.
“I wish other people would go there to see the bad situation and help them with any kind of donation as they lost everything,” said Wiseman.
Allied Consortium CEO Tyhilelo Sidali said they decided to help after Wiseman told them about Khumbulani’s situation.
Khumbulani confirmed that he got a donation of R5 000 from Wiseman.
“I’m still begging for donations from anyone to bring me back to life. Although I would appreciate help, I also beg everyone to help other victims, especially those who are at the centre with kids. It is difficult here because it’s cold, there is no privacy and it’s messy.
“We need help to go back to our lives as soon as possible,” he said.
