Newsreader Scelo Mbokazi has died following a short illness.

MESSAGES of support have been pouring in after Ukhozi FM senior newsreader Scelo Mbokazi died.
Mbokazi, who was affectionately known by listens as Umbhishobhi, died on Friday, 10 June, following a short illness.
He had been off air for a while, and it was reported that he was in and out of hospital.

SABC Izindaba confirmed Mbokazi’s death in a short statement.
“Former Ukhozi FM newsreader Mbokazi has passed away.
May his soul rest in peace, and heartfelt condolences to his family,” read the statement.
Mbokazi had been working at Ukhozi FM as a newsreader for over a decade, where he managed to become one of its favourite readers to listeners as he was full of jokes.
