TOP influencer, fashionista, and musician Shaun "Shaun Stylist" Naki (32) is taking his music to a higher level abroad.

Shaun, who is a stylist for Mzansi’s top socialite and reality TV star Shauwn "MaMkhize" Mkhize, has dropped his amapiano single in collaboration with the global record label Warner Music Africa (WMA) after announcing the signing in June.

His new song, JJ Phakathi, features T&T MuziQ, Pushkin RSA, Springle, and Jay Jay.

Shaun from Ekurhuleni said his song is an amapiano anthem set to take over the streets and inspire young talent.

“The song encourages people to go for anything they want to achieve, even beyond and outside the music industry. Any goal that they visualise can materialise.

“Warmer has a large footprint in Africa and overseas, and they have done amazing work as an entity. I want to succeed with my music, and this deal will not only benefit me, but will unleash budding talent onto the scene,” he said.

Shaun made his name in the music industry in 2022 when he independently released his two songs - Oskae Beya Fatshe and Uyabizwa

Although he has many other avenues, music is also more important to him.

“I’ve had a love of music since early childhood and the support of my family, which spilt over into my adult life as well as my broader community both online and in person, have always encouraged me to pursue this dream.

“Amapiano is the fastest-growing South African genre that is all about youth and culture. This genre is making a mark, even overseas, and this aligns naturally with my aim of taking my music abroad,” he said.
