ACTRESS Lihle Dhlomo has left Durban Gen.
She played the role of Dr Precious, who was just getting her life back together after her husband Dr Thabo (Meshack Mavuso-Magabane) ruined it.
Dr Precious had just returned to the show after months of leaving. She and Dr Thabo were working on their issues and planning to co-parent. However, life had other plans.
Dr Precious was hit by a car while trying to help a patient, who was trying to run away.
Lihle said her goodbye to the soapie on social media.
“RIP Dr P. Thank you to @stainedglasstv1 and @durbangen_etv, who cast me for the role of the beloved, Dr Precious Dlamini.

“This character was crafted through collaboration – from concept to script, directing, creative and technical teams in the show. Thanks, especially to the production team, for making my journey amazing,” she wrote.
She went on to thank people she worked with on the show.
“I’m grateful and content because I got to work with some of the best directors, Mthunzi Dubazane, Sabelo Ndlovu, Zimkhita Maseko and of course, thee Zuko Nodada. Not forgetting our script supervisor, Sihle.
“Thank you all for giving me the space to create and to share my gift. For also pushing me and guiding the performances with care,” she wrote.
“To the actors I had the pleasure of working with on the show, I learnt a lot from you. Guys, love and light. To the acting coach and co-star, thank you sir for being a great sparring partner on set, Sibalkhulu@mavuso101,” she continued.
She said she knows Durban Gen viewers wanted Dr Precious to go back and she’s glad she went back.
“I know you will miss her, but the good doctor needs to rest. You summoned her for months on end, and they heard your cries. Just like how she came into our lives, she left with a bang.
“I love and appreciate the support you give me. My heart sank when I read this last scene as Dr P. I gave everything, every time for every take. I don’t have any regrets,” wrote the actress.
