AFTER 11 years of being in the entertainment industry, talented actor Abdul Khoza has finally received some recognition.

He has been nominated in the Best Actor category of the DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards.

In his Instagram post, he shared that this was his first nomination ever.

“Ngizothanda ukubonga kakhulu for this humbling honour of being nominated for the first time in my career by @dstv_mvca_official for Best Actor,” he wrote.

He went on to thank his fellow colleagues.

“I honestly am so grateful for this nomination alone as it means my work is being recognised and that I have won a few hearts within my industry. That for me is my best award. Thank you so much mama bear @dudubusanidube for your amazing work that gave birth to these amazing characters we play on screen. Your talent is extraordinary and out of this world. We love you. To my fellow nominees, but most especially my family of the cast and crew of @thewife_showmax and incredibly talented co-stars @zikhonasodlaka, @bonkokhoza and @kwenzo_pholoba, it’s a great honour to be nominated with you all. Congratulations and well deserved.”

Abdul’s acting talent was discovered during the second season of the Amstel Class Act competition in 2011, where he won with actress Tumie Ngumla.

His post saw his industry friends taking turns to congratulate and wish him the best.

Mbalenhle wrote: “I’m so proud of you. You honestly deserve it and I enjoy working with you, mkhaya wami.”

Then Siphesihle Ndaba said: “Congratulations, so well deserved.”

Zingah commented: “Definitely our favourite actor.”
