PODCASTER and ex-offender, Themba Lukhele, launched a new podcast called Against The Wall on 21 March.

The podcast gives former jailbirds a chance to share their experiences and also rectify their mistakes.

Skeem GP, as he is popularly known, said this is where they will share a lot about their jail diaries with viewers.

The author and public speaker from Katlehong, Ekurhuleni told Daily Sun that he realised that many people are often judged for their mistakes while others were wrongfully accused by communities.

He said this podcast will be an eye-opener for all the people in Mzansi.

He said he believes that the latest Podcast is the first of its kind, which gives the public unprecedented insight into what really goes on behind the prison walls.

"We deeply dive into individuals’ livelihood from petty crimes, first-degree crimes cultism unflinching, scary, cautioning and inspiring at the same time. It is made of different people from all walks of life who tell it as it happened with no censorship,” he said.

The podcaster said the conceptualization of this podcast is derived from his personal encounters as a former inmate.

He said the inspiration behind Skeem GP Podcast is defying the odds and enabling young people to know that in the middle of a difficulty lies opportunity.

"When you are confronted with time to pay for your mistakes don't despair but be optimistic and rise above your fears. Skeem GP ushers the future that is purely based on truth, solutions, and unfolding the social ills which are epidemic,” he said.

The presenter said they have a lined-up list of amazing speakers who will narrow down their experiences.

He said their goal is to invade the audience’s TV space for a good cause.

"Skeem GP Podcast distinguishes itself from the rest by offering valuable insights; insights like tips, advice, information, tutorials, educational, and relevant audience. It also provides appropriate original ideas that listeners can use in their day-to-day lives," he said.

He is also a founder of Skeem GP Foundation where he goes around schools giving young kids lectures about the importance of creating opportunities for themselves and staying far from anything that can land them in jail.

He said he believes that with these workshops he will be saving the young ones so they can focus on their future and not be distracted.
