MZANSI Magic will be telling the story of legendary soccer star Doctor “16V” Khumalo’s life and career.

The docu-series, 16 V Doctor Khumalo: Untold, will run for four weeks and is premiering on DStv on Sunday, 2 October, at 8pm. It will viewers behind the name and paint an intimate portrait of a man who always showed up, even when navigating the loss of loved ones.

Doctor will be telling his own story, and the series will also feature former teammates, footballers, politicians, celebrities and media personalities.

Shirley Adonisi, director of local entertainment channels for M-Net, said they were exited to be sharing 16V’s life story.

“Doctor’s fame and impact transcended football – he was and still is an icon.

“16V Doctor Khumalo: Untold is a celebratory, raw, and honest portrait of one of our living legend,” she Adonisi.

“As a channel, we are proud to have the opportunity to honour our national icons while they are still alive.

“This is a series you don’t want to miss.”

Daily Sun contacted executive producer Richard Mahogany and Doctor, but they said they could not speak about the series yet.

“We can’t talk much about the series, but just know that there will be a variety of celebs and ex-footballers,” Mahogany said.

“When we have released the press release on our side, we will let you know and you can have an interview with us.”
