THE Lemo Festival is loading.

This cultural celebration will be at Heidedal, Lemo Green Park in Bloemfontein, Free State from 1 to 15 October at Lemo Mall.

Event organisers promised that the 2023 festival will be bigger and better.

The event publicist, Ernest Moikangoa, said: "The festival will be offering an array of events that cater to everyone's interest. The festival will kick off with a Thanksgiving ceremony. This will be a celebration of seven years of resilience.”

He said the Thanksgiving ceremony will also celebrate the resilience that has allowed Lemo Mall and the Kenworth Group to thrive in the face of hardship.

"It's a time to express gratitude for the unwavering support of the community and partners who have been an integral part of this journey.

"This unique ceremony marks not only the beginning of a 15-day long extravaganza, but also commemorates the remarkable journey of Lemo Mall over seven years.

"In Christian tradition, it symbolises completion and spiritual perfection. It signifies the end of one phase and the beginning of another, reflecting growth, maturity, and blessings," Ernest said.

He said the road to success has not been easy.

"For the Lemo Group, these seven years have been a journey filled with both triumphs and tribulations. The group chairman, Mr Freddie Kenney, has personally weathered numerous storms and overcome personal losses during this time. It's a testament to his unwavering determination and staying power, a reflection of the indomitable spirit that characterises the South African landscape," he said.

Another segment of this event is the All-White Gospel Experience.

This segment will feature the likes of Manana, Thabo Lebeko, Matsela, Esethu, Sello Malete, Teboho Moloi, Teboho Moruti, Lebo Sekgobela, Mmatema, Mpumi, March, Omega, Ayanda Ntazi, and Busi Radebe.

"We will also have an Empowering Women at Woman-to-Woman session at night. This will be a star-studded event with the likes of Azana, Maleh, Kelly Khumalo, DJ Zinhle, Zonke, Amanda Black, Lamiez, and Makhadzi performing for the guests," Ernest said.

Other activities that will take place include QOAI Fashion Show, Crafters' Market Day and Kiddies Village.
