Q Twins have a reason to be proud of themselves.

FORMER Idols contestants and singers Viggy and Virginia Qwabe say they're grateful.

The duo, popularly known as the Q Twins, rose to fame through their participation in season 15 of the 2019 singing competition.

The pair’s elimination from the show was dramatic and caused quite a stir and attention.

When Virginia learnt that she had been eliminated from the show, her sister Viggy, who was due to continue the competition, decided to quit.

Many people believe the twins were angry with Idols, but the inseparable sisters said they were grateful for the opportunity to be on the show.

"Yes, we started our careers through Idols, and it changed our lives a lot. People knew the Qwabe twins existed through Idols, and it has had a positive impact on our careers because without Idols' people wouldn’t have known us yet," they said.

They said they have no regrets about the show.

"The show has opened doors for us and now we are musicians," the Q Twins said.

They said they've had challenges in the industry.

"We believe that every challenge that comes our way is not to break us but to nurture us into better versions of ourselves," they said.

They said the industry has been good to them.

"The response we get from the people who follow our music always makes us happy," they said.

The Qwabe twins said they're here to stay and will never make music separately.

"Making music individually would be death for us. We will never make music individually. There's nothing that would make us go our separate ways," they said.

They said they really enjoyed working with Gatsheni on their new song Umalambana.

"Working with Maskantshi shows how we can evolve in music. We believe that as musicians you have to explore," the Q Twins said.
