BROADCASTER Thami Ngubeni has parted ways with popular news channel Newzroom Afrika.

The former daytime news anchor took to social media to share the news and thanked everyone who supported her on her journey.

“It has been an absolute joy to be part of such

an excellent team at Newzroom. May the channel continue to grow from strength to strength and deliver news that is credible and fair. To all of you who joined me every weekday from 12-3pm for Daytime Update, I thank you,” she said.

The channel bid her farewell and said they wished her well in her future ventures.

“Today is Thami’s official last day at Newzroom Afrika. Thami has been with us since inception and played a pivotal role in our journey. We wish her the very best for the next chapter of her career,” it said.

Following the news of her departure, people took to social media to say how sad they were and said they were happy she was not leaving the media space completely, as she’s still on Metro FM.

Thami is also an actress and has been part of big productions such as Generations: The Legacy and recently joined the cast of 1Magic’s popular drama series Entangled.
