ZODWA Wabantu has once again become a no-show.

The socialite and dancer, whose real surname is Zodwa Libram, has been accused of failing to turn up for gigs a number of times.

The latest accusation is from Mpumalanga event organiser Sibusiso Mthombeni (35), who told Daily Sun he was left angry and heartbroken when Zodwa ghosted him after he paid her R12 000.

He said she was booked to perform at B-Side Cafe in Bethal on 26 December last year, but she never turned up and ignored his calls and text messages afterwards.

“I am beyond angry. I trusted Zodwa because she didn’t seem like a person who would take my money and run,” he said.

“What makes me angrier is that I didn’t call her. She called me to ask if I could hook her up with two gigs in Mpumalanga.

“The one was in Ermelo and she came late but in Bethal she just didn’t pitch up. If I couldn’t defend myself, I would have been beaten by the club owners because of her no-show.”

Zodwa’s manager, Terrence Olifant, said he didn’t know Sibusiso as they received a lot of bookings.

“Where we have missed bookings, I always get in touch with clients to find a solution, whether it’s a refund or picking a new date,” he said.

Zodwa told the SunTeam she didn’t know Sibusiso and would check with Terrence.

But Sibusiso said he had not received any communication for a refund from Terrence or Zodwa.

Sibusiso appealed to the public to help him get Zodwa’s residential address so he can open a case with the police.
