GOSPEL singer Thinah Zungu’s son, Ndumiso, is walking in his father’s shoes.

The nine-year-old is now a recording gospel musician who has already started performing in church and local shows.

And, Thinah said that he saw himself in him.

“He’s highly talented and I like the fact that he’s not scared of standing in front of the crowd and singing. I’m blessed to have him as my son,” said Thinah.

He shared that Ndumiso has previously asked for his permission and blessing to record music.

“But he was too young to be a recording singer. I only agreed this year after I saw him performing at church. He also replaced me on the line-up of the eThekwini Local Municipality event because I had flu. That’s why we went into the studio to record a song that will be released soon,” he added.

This gospel star said he’d be a guardian to his son and ensure that music did not affect his studies.

“The music industry is hard; only the strong ones survive. As much as I trust my son since I know that he is strong, I’ll make sure that I’m always by his side, protect and support him. Although I won’t choose a future for him, I’ll make sure that education is a priority.”
