SOMIZI MHLONGO’S hit reality TV show, Living the Dream, is back and the star said it was worth waiting for!
The media personality promises to share his dreams for the future with Mzansi.
THE SHOW WILL ALSO COVER THE LESS THAN BEAUTIFUL DREAMS OF LIFE WITH HIS HUSBAND MOHALE!
“People can expect what I always deliver. Realness, candid honesty and joy,” the flamboyant Somizi (49) told Daily Sun.
“It feels great to reconnect and drive the narrative of my life. This season definitely warms my heart.”
The much-anticipated new season will premiere on Showmax in May.
It has been revealed that the new season will cover the stormy second half of 2021 following Somizi’s split from husband Mohale Motaung.
When asked if he had healed from the ordeal when his career took a big knock after a number of brands distanced themselves from him and he was put on ice by both Metro FM and Idols SA, he said he is on a constant journey of healing.
“That doesn’t mean I’m not happy. I live the truth and share what I’m comfortable sharing. I’m hoping people can accept and appreciate that,” he said.
He recently took back his place as a judge on the talent show.
The producers of the show have also revealed that the new season will show Somizi exploring his calling but when asked about it, he said he was not ready to talk about it just yet.
“All I can disclose now is that all is going well and I’m grateful,” he said.
Previously, the show was produced by award-winning producer Legend Manqele, but for the new season, Somizi is working with Teddy Geldart as the producer.
He said he did this because he loved fresh creativity and collaborations.
“There is a crisp new way to how this season is documented. I feel we cover all the news viewers have been waiting to know, but we do it beautifully,” he said.
Teddy, who is the founder of Dopezuluboi Production, is a South African Film and Television Awards-nominated producer who is also responsible for Lebo M’s hit reality TV show, Lebo M: Coming Home.
Season five of Living the Dream with Somizi will start streaming on Showmax on 4 May with new episodes released every Wednesday.
