Actress, choreographer and Durban-born dancer Sne Mbatha has gone international after her debut on the Netflix dance series Jivalast year.
Sne is no stranger to being on screens.
She has been gracing Mzansi with her amazing moves since 2010 when she kick-started her career on So You Think You Can Dance.
Sne shared exclusively with SunBuzz that she’s in the Hollywood movie, The Woman King.
“You know I haven’t shared with anyone this information, but when I relocated to Cape Town to start doing stunts there, I got a job as a stuntwoman on a movie that was being shot.
“So after the scene was shot, the director of the movie there scouted a few of us and told us she wanted us to do one line in one of the scenes on The Woman King,” she said.

“I was excited that I’d be doing a one-line scene and get featured in a Hollywood movie alongside Thuso Mbedu and Viola Davis.
“So when I was done shooting that one line scene, the casting director came to me and told me that she needs me for more scenes.”
The 30-year-old MTV Base Dance Nation co-host said she once hosted a conference for Reebok, launched sportswear for Lacoste, and worked with Cotton On, Hennessy, Grants Whiskey, and Expresso.
She has also choreographed for the 2022 DStv Viewer’s Choice Awards.
Sne said she’s now busy with another Hollywood production.
“I can’t mention anything right now. But it’s a Hollywood production,” she said.
As a leading choreographer, Sne has toured internationally with Kendrick Lamar and opened for the likes of Jay Sean, Kanye West, Nas, Usher, and Timbaland.
She has also worked on set in music videos with Drake, Wizkid, and Patoranking.
