THE slay queens from Diamond & Dolls are going international.

The Showmax reality show, starring Eva Modika, Lumi Jemma, Tebogo Ramokgadi, Inno Morolong and Lolo Mlunjwana, has been renewed for a second season and will be shown in the USA and Brazil through a digital streaming platform.

They celebrated the success of their first season with a party at Monarch in Sandton, Joburg, on Thursday, 21 April.

Businesswoman Eva told Daily Sun: “We did amazingly from the first day until the show went live. We were number three on Showmax and then moved to number two. We’ve been in the top 20 for weeks,” she said.

“We are also announcing season two, which we will start filming in May. It’s going international and we think that’s a great opportunity.

“Expanding more in Africa and going beyond Africa is exciting for us.

“We will get to show the world that Africa is not a jungle.”

Eva said viewers would see more of her in the new season.

“I think everyone will be falling in love with me. I will be showing more of my personal life. Maybe I’ll show you a boyfriend or I will be getting married,” said a laughing Eva.

She said season two would be as dramatic as season one because there was tension.

“Not everything is fine at the moment. Lumi is fighting some of the dolls. That’s why she is not at this event. We are also not sure if she will be joining us for the second season but what we do know is that we will go very big,” she said.

Producer and star Tebogo said he could not say much about the show going international.

“I can’t divulge much but we have secured another deal with an international streaming platform.

“It will be broadcast in the USA, Brazil and other countries,” he said.

Three new cast members from Nigeria, Tanzania and the USA will also be joining season two.
