ACTRESS and up-and-coming entrepreneur Lethabo Mekoa says God has answered her prayers.
She said it has always been her dream to gain a foothold in the entertainment industry.
The actress (19) said when she got her big break on Skeem Saam after eight years of unsuccessful auditions, she couldn't believe it.
Lethabo from Ganyesa in the North West plays the role of Ntswaki in the most watched SABC1 soapie.
Lethabo told the Daily Sun that it has always been her dream to be where she is now and that she's happy that God and her ancestors have answered her prayers.
"I tried for eight years to make it in the industry. During that time, I experienced a lot of rejection," she said.

"Some people even told me that I couldn't act and should rather consider a differet career path," she said.
The actress said she's enjoys playing Ntswaki on the soapie.
"It has been a tough but fruitful journey where I have learnt how to transition from a character to my own personality. My journey has been nothing short of amazing," she said.
Lethabo said she has learnt, seen and experienced many interesting things about her career.
"My experiences excite me, and I am ready to continue learning my craft. In this industry, I have learnt that it's important to empathise with others. As an actor or actress, we practically put ourselves in the shoes of our character. And also, to understand the difference between the character and who you really are," she said.
The actress is urging up-and-coming actors to always take their craft seriously.
