SKEEM Saam actor Buhle Maseko believes in multiple streams of income.
In addition to being an actor and DJ, he now sells houses.
The 31-year-old from Birch Acres in Kempton Park, Ekurhuleni, who plays Nimrod Magongwa on the SABC1 show, said he realised that times have changed and that things are expensive.
He told Daily Sun that he's happy with his new journey as a candidate property practitioner. "I wanted to show the world that it's important to create other projects that can bring in different incomes.
"I was raised by the streets of Tembisa, so I know how to live like a hustler. My latest move has seen me go into real estate as a candidate property practitioner with a company called Kago M. I've always been passionate about property," he said.
Buhle said the goal is to get into investment property.
"My passion for it started when I was in high school and I would watch a lot of motivational videos from successful people. A lot of them are in real estate and that's what got me curious about it.
"I bought my first property at the age of 22, but didn't have the necessary knowledge on how to buy a property that would serve as an investment. So, the mistakes I made back then also motivated me to want to know more before I could expand my property portfolio," said Buhle.
He aid he wants to be able to advise first-time home buyers on making great property investments.
"People will definitely still see me on other TV shows or programmes. I'm not done with the entertainment industry," he said.

He said that he still has a lot of surprises in store.
"What I saw as important is that you need to create other income streams, especially when you're in such a volatile industry such as entertainment. The industry taught me to go all out.
"I'm also enjoying my DJ line of work and people can book me as an amapiano DJ. There's also music that's coming out where I'll be working with talented unknown artists to try to give them a foot into the industry," said Buhle.
