SCANDAL! actor James Sithole has up-and-coming actors' backs.
Through a workshop held at the State Theatre on Thursday, 16 November, the 30-year-old from KwaMhlanga in Mpumalanga empowered young talents.
James is popularly known for his villain role of Mdala on Scandal!. While people hate him on the show, they keep wanting to see more.
He shared tips on how to turn acting into a career and spoke to Daily Sun about his journey so far.
He said he is rehearsing for a show called The Dark Side.
“I wrote and directed the show, and it’s part of the year-end festival at MC Art Academy. It's going to be staged on 2 December at 4pm at The State Theatre in Pretoria,” he said.
James said the industry now has changed.

“A lot of production companies are now opening doors to the younger generation compared to before,” he said.
He said he is still part of the Scandal! cast.
“At the very start of it all, it's a bit challenging to make it in television because at times you get booked because of how popular you are,” he said.
He said people with a large following are more likely to get jobs than those with a small following.
“If you have a lot of social media presence, you're most likely to be booked because you already have your fanbase which is good for the production because it's guaranteed mass viewership,” he said.
He said he's grateful for where he is right now.
“My biggest highlight must be when I got the opportunity to play lead characters on Scandal! and Komkhulu. That really was a blessing for me,” he said.
