SABC2 has announced it’s saying goodbye to talkshow Motswako after 21 successful seasons.
Motswako is set to return to our screens for Season 21, the last season to be aired.
The new season starts on Thursday, 25 August, with Sechaba Gqeba as the host.
Over the years, Motswako has been a source of comfort and inspiration for women.
The show’s been a place where society reflects on social, political and economic challenges.

Every week, Sechaba will interview guests such as Penny Lebyane, Desiree Chauke, Ayanda Ncwane, Leeto Khoza, Thabiso Sikwane, Maureen Skosana, Connie Chiume, professor Mamokgethi Phakeng and Sibongile Mngoma.
Head of channel Gerhard Pretorius said they are proud to have been part of the road that Motswako has paved in their 21 seasons.He thanked the show’s team for creating an amazing platform for women to voice their issues and be heard.
“SABC2 is immensely proud of the road Motswako has paved over 21 seasons.
“To Carol Bouwer and her amazing team of creatives and wonderful presenters, thank you for giving so many female voices a platform to be heard and for highlighting the plight of many, while reflecting a shared unscripted reality,” Pretorius said.
Motswako will air every Thursday at 8pm.
