ROCKZIE is making a name for herself in the Mzansi entertainment industry.
The Afro-soul singer, whose real name is Rokunda Mutheiwana (17), said she believes it’s her turn to shine.
The artist from Limpopo told SunBuzz that she has worked hard to earn her place in the music industry.
“My love for music started at a young age. I used to sing in church and my family loved music,” she said.

“After passing my matric, I released a song titled Ndiwa Mashudu Mbilu Yanga Yo Dakala.
“The song talked about how lucky and happy I was to achieve this milestone.
“It wasn’t an easy journey for me as I had challenges along the way when doing my matric last. I had to balance my school work and music,” she said.
She said another challenge she faced is that when she released her first song many people didn’t support her.
Rockzie said she started making music professionally in 2018.
She was a singer and dancer of a Venda cultural group until 2021.
This is when she released her single titled Vumani, which made it to said said she was top 7 on to the Top 7 of Thobela FM’s Song of Year last year.

She said she has also gained exposure in the music industry by being a backing vocalist, together with her mother Thandi Mtheiwana, for some of the big gospel artists in Mzansi.
She has performed in various places in Gauteng, Limpopo and Richards Bay.
The musician said she performed at the Sizzle City food and Wine Experience festival in Richards Bay.
Since she has started her career in music, she has collaborated with DJ Mimmz Africa, Deevo, Masana Studios and BHK under Miriri Productions.
Her other hit song, Inkanyezi, was playlisted on Phalaphala FM, Metro FM and Ukhozi FM.
Rockzie has also .The singer said she is no stranger to performing in front of large crowds.performed internationally and shared the stage with Charma Gal in Botswana.
