ACTRESS and activist Refilwe Modiselle doesn’t want people to take advantage of her kindness.
The 36-year-old took to Twitter on Monday, 13 June, to tell production companies to stop calling her for interviews on International Albinism Awareness Day.
The actress from Rockville, Soweto, shared that she had to decline several calls from people who wanted to do interviews with her on the day.
She wrote: “I have numerous requests for interviews on Albinism Awareness Day and I’m going to keep declining them.”
She said after all these years, productions still couldn’t respect her accomplishments and only wanted to work with her when it suited their viewers or listeners at that time.

The actress said this wasn’t what she signed up for as she had done a lot over the past years and they only wanted to benefit from her during this time.
Refilwe has been at the forefront of many campaigns that stands up for people living with albinism for many years.
She wrote: “Miss me please.”
She further added that the awareness is an everyday thing not just a yearly event where people just want to take advantage of others.
