Stars from Hollywood, Bollywood and other different world stages showed up at the launch of the Red Sea International Film Festival on Thursday, 1 December.
The two-week festival kicked off with a red carpet event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where the festival is held.
The likes of Fast and The Furious star, Michelle Rodriguez, Quantico star, Priyanka Chopra, Crazy Rich Asians actor, Henry Goulding, Indian actor, Shah Rhuk Khan and Oscar-winning producer, Guy Ritchie walked the red carpet and attended the event.
What’s Love Got To Do With It, directed by Shekar Kapur, was the opening movie for the fest. The British-Pakistani film stars Lily James, Emma Thompson and Shazad Latif were also in attendance.
Over 100 movies will be shown throughout the next few days.

Three legendary contributors to film were honoured with awards during the opening night. These included Guy Ritchie, Shah Rhuk Khan and Egytian actress and singer, Yousra.
Guy, who’s produced and directed films like Sherlock Holmes, The Gentlemen, Wrath of Man, Aladdin, The Man From U.N.C.L.E and more was the first to receive his awards.
“It’s exciting to support creativity, from this region specifically and to encourage cultural collaboration. It’s inspiring to see the next generation in the film enthusiasts and I’m grateful and extremely honoured to be here. Thank you very much,” said Guy.
Shah Rhuk Khan, who’s also known as the undisputed King of Bollywood said it was the first time a film festival celebrated him and he was happy.
“It is truly an honour for me to be here today. I’m grateful for the respect given to me today, not only by the Red Sea International Film Festival, but everyone here,” he said.
“I would like to thank all the wonderful people of Saudi Arabia who gifted me with the love and kindness for the entire span of my career. Also, for me, it’s even more exciting as I’m sharing the stage with the awesome talent of two luminaries in the field of cinema, Guy Ritchie and Yousra.”
Receiving her award, Yousra said: “Ladies and gentlemen and Excellencies, it’s a great moment in my life to be here being honoured between my real fans and people I’ve always loved and cherished thank you so much it’s a great honour.”
