THE reality TV show, Becoming, is returning for a second season.

But the cast from season one, Gina Sokoyi, Ramazan Ngobese, Yaya Mavundla and Gugu Kumalo will not return for the new season.

Instead, the new season will feature new faces and all new content, and the new cast will live together in a safe house called House of Diamonds.

When announcing the show, Mzansi Magic said the show will follow the cast as they go through their individual journeys.

Speaking about the return of the show, Shirley Adonisi, director of Local Entertainment Channels at M-Net, said they’re happy to bring it back.

Becoming is a groundbreaking and important show that we’re pleased to bring back for a new season. This is a reality show that not only keeps viewers engaged, but is also informative and educational and it was a show that enjoyed a high level of talkability,” she said.

“We’re proud to provide a platform for layered and honest representation for people in the queer community and can’t wait for viewers to dive in and enjoy this season.”

Meet the new cast:

Trey Moo (she/they), house mother: As the matriarch of the House of Diamonds, her focus is on keeping everyone housed and safe. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have her own battles to fight – we follow as she confronts family rejection and seeks love and belonging.
