Rachel Reloaded says a lot of her influence comes from the United States.

RACHEL Reloaded believes that her mixture of a kasi and international sound is what people need to hear.

The 27-year-old, whose real name is Rachel Zengele, is from Ga-Molepo in Limpopo, but resides in Diepsloot, north of Joburg.

“I am ready to shock the industry with a new and different style, sound and character as a female rapper.

“A lot of my influence comes from the United States. I am inspired by Nicki Minaj, a lot.

“I sound very international but at the same time, I am from the hood. I add a kasi vibe to that sound, and it hits different. It sounds great and people love it,” said Rachel.

“I want to show that people from small towns can make it big in the whole of Africa through my music. Rachel Reloaded is the missing key to a true African sound in female rap,” she said. The singer said finding her sound and her place in the music industry has been quite a journey and it started years ago.

Rachel is currently working on releasing music videos from her 2020 album, Mercy. She’s also working on new music.

“I had taken a break from music last year because I was pregnant. But two weeks after giving birth, I released a music video for one of the songs, Bad Thing, a few months ago. It’s currently doing well on TV. I’ll also be dropping other music videos now,” she said.
