RAPPER iFani Haymani has gone back to making songs after five years of not recording music.
The rapper, known for hits such as Shake and Iingoma Ezimnandi, said he’s gone back solely for rising star, Big Xhosa.
The pair will be dropping a single titled Ikuku Endala on Friday, 11 June and the music video on Saturday, 12 June.
Big Xhosa, who has taken the hip-hop scene by storm, has been receiving backlash from a lot of people, even rappers. So, iFani said he’d work with him as a way to show support.
“I went back to studio just for Big Xhosa. This is because he reminds me of myself when I started. My music was like his and I see similarities between us,” he said.
“When I started, people said I was whack and that I wasn’t going to go anywhere. So when I first saw his first video that went viral and saw the comments and the hate, I knew then that I was willing to do anything to help him out,” said the rapper.

He said the song is purely entertainment and has no meaning to it. He hopes people will understand that.
“It’s entertainment and people will have fun listening to it. But I feel like sometimes we need to remind old people that we’re playing and having fun. It’s nothing serious.” He said he wishes Big Xhosa nothing but the best in the music industry. However, this does not mean he’s permanently returning to making music.
“At the moment, I’m working on season two of my travel reality series, Amah Knows Best. We were in China for season one and we’re planning on going elsewhere for season two. We’re still in the planning phase for now and that’s what I’m focusing on,” said iFani
