YOUNG Prince’s life has been a battle since Covid-19 hit South Africa.
He has been left with no money to pay his bills and has even thought of suicide.
However, rapper Boity has come to the rescue and helped him keep his head above water.
The musician, whose real name is Prince Moabi, told Daily Sun: “Things have been so hard for me and this has really affected me because I can’t pay my bills.
“I can’t even get gigs. I’m struggling and I’m battling depression.”
The 24-year-old from Auckland Park, Joburg, said he was suicidal but he was grateful to Boitmuleo “Boity” Thulo, who has apparently been helping him.
He said he met Boity while shooting a cameo on axed e.tv soapie Rhythm City in 2019.
“This lady has a beautiful heart.
“She has been helping me where she can and sending me food vouchers and transport money,” he said.

“If it wasn’t for Boity, my life would have been something else.
“I am suicidal at times and I have cut my body before to feel better,” he said.
He said Boity had even bought him clothes and she was a mother to him in the industry.
“She has been there for me financially and emotionally. She always comes through for me,” he said.
Prince said he had suffered from depression for many years.
“It started when I was 14 and I was bullied at school. People used to call me names. I was abused and assaulted many times.”
Prince said he would be releasing his latest single, titled Number 10, at the end of May. He said he hoped it would help him get gigs so he could put food on the table.
“I will be dropping my single on 29 May. I pray I get booked so I can have something,” he said.
His message to other people struggling like him was to keep their heads up and keep going, no matter what.
He said no matter what a person was going through, things would improve at some point and the only way to win was to stay positive.
Boity had failed to comment at the time of going to print.
