PASTORS' Wives star Nandipha Mlombi has been disqualified from beauty pageant, Mrs Southern Africa.

The controversial reality TV personality (35) had been part of the pageant for the past months, and they were now dropping her.

Making the announcement, they released a statement saying it was in the best interest of the pageant to disqualify her.

“We regret to inform supporters, sponsors and followers of the Mrs Southern Africa Pageant of a difficult decision that has been made regarding the participation of one of our contestants in the Mrs Southern Africa Pageant scheduled for 2023.

“After careful consideration and thorough review of recent events and their impact on the reputation and smooth execution of the pageant, the organising committee has determined that it is in the best interest of the pageant and its participants to disqualify Mrs Nandipha Mlombi (known as Queen Nandi on social media platforms) from the competition,” the statement read.

They further revealed they were disqualifying her because of concerns from the public.

“The decision was not taken lightly and was based on concerns regarding the adverse publicity generated as a result of recent actions associated with her participation. The aim of our pageant is to uphold ubuntu, a positive and respectful image. It's crucial that all contestants align with these values,” they said.

Nandipha told Daily Sun the reason she was being disqualified was because of a fake account that had been bullying her online.

“The reason I was disqualified from the Miss Southern Africa pageant is because of the propaganda that's been going around on social media. It's because of the false news and lies that were written on social media about me by a fake account.

“This page has been writing lies about me and I guess the pageant doesn’t want to be associated with all of that drama and negativity. This fake account is a group of people that are trying to silence me from telling the truth about the corruption and the moral decay of the church I go to,” she said.

Nandi said she was disappointed by the decision.

“This promotes this cancel culture and is somewhat promoting abuse and cyberbullying. It just adds fuel to cyberbullying and abuse in general because who is going to want to speak up if they know that they'll get cancelled if they speak up?

“However, I do respect their decision. It's their platform after all,” she said.
