ORLANDO PIRATES goalkeeper Melusi Buthelezi was allegedly hijacked and Kidnapped in Thokoza, Ekurhuleni, on Thursday, 29 February.
According to a source, thugs came out of nowhere and allegedly pulled out firearms and demanded people lie down.
He said Buthelezi and his friends were eating on the street from the boot of their car when the thugs approached.
"They took people's cellphones and ordered Buthelezi at gunpoint to get into a VW Tiguan car, and they drove off.
"We don't know what happened to him, and several people tried to call his cellphone, but it was off," the source said.
The soccer star (26) from KZN was held hostage by his hijackers.
The former TS Galaxy goalkeeper was also hijacked in February 2023 while he was in Soweto with his younger brother.

The footballer was hospitalised along with his brother after they both suffered wounds from the incident.
Gauteng police spokeswoman Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi confirmed to Daily Sun that the soccer star was hijacked and kidnapped on Thursday night, 29 February.
"On 29 February 2024 at about 8.40pm, a 26-year-old man was reportedly hijacked and kidnapped at Thokoza in zone 4.
"It's reported that the victim was sitting with his friends on the street when three unknown men approached them.
"The suspects robbed all victims of their cellphones before forcibly taking one of the victims and driving off with his vehicle," she said.
Nevhuhulwi said Melusi returned unharmed on Friday, 1 March.
She said police have opened a case of hijacking and kidnapping for further investigations.
She said no one was arrested yet.
