NOMFUNDO Moh was one of the biggest winners on the first night of the 28th Annual South African Music Awards (Samas) held at the Sun City Superbowl in the North West, on Saturday, 27 August.
The 22-year-old rising star from Ndwendwe, KZN is overjoyed after securing her first win.
The singer wrote on her Instagram page that her debut album, Amagama, scored the Best Afro Pop Album Sama. Nomfundo Moh said’s is grateful for the support she has been getting from her fans since the project was released.

God has been good, and you Mashiza you are something, you are also Mgabadeli you are not small, MohFam I appreciate you… BEST AFRO POP ALBUM, and BIO has been edited, things are busy, thank you!” she wrote.
Nomfundo began her career in 2016 when she was 16 years old. She gained fame after releasing Lilizela last year. Having signed a record deal with Universal Music, she rose to prominence with her debut album Amagama, spawned with the chart-topping single Phakade Lami.
Earlier in the year, Nomfundo graduated from the University of KZN with a degree in social work.
