She said the character arrived at the perfect moment in her life.
"I love acting and it’s been amazing. It’s something new for me, waking up in the morning, going to studio and doing make-up. It’s not like music."
She said her friends had been pushing her to get into acting, but didn't pay attention to them.
She also opened up about how her journey in music has been.
"As tough as it's been, it's been fun too. It came with a lot of things, a lot happens behind the scenes and if you check all the songs that are hits, they're not mine. When I try to make my own music, things like hard drives would crash. A lot would happen I end up being scared of doing something that's mine."
The singer is also actively working on new music.
"I’m collaborating on a song with Master KG. We’ll be in the studio soon. I have a track with Kabza that’s going to be released shortly.
"People mustn't wear heels this coming summer. I'll be releasing hits," she said.
Nokwazi began her career as a backing vocalist for renowned musicians the likes of Rebecca Malope, Brenda Fassie and Thandiswa Mazwai. She's also worked with producers, Heavy K, Master KG and DJ Zandimaz.
