EFE "Promise" Asemota enjoys working with Mzansi stars.

The Nigerian-born musician said whenever he gets a chance to work with Mzansi musicians, he always feels at home.

The Afro-soul and rap artist said he worked with Emtee and they made great music, adding that SA artists are hard workers and always willing to learn.

The Joburg-based rapper said he featured Emtee on a single titled I'll Be There.

He said the song was released in 2022 and was well received.

Promise told Daily Sun that it was followed by Bondage featuring Scooby Nero, released on major music streaming platforms.

"I released three singles last month - Party, Bless Me, and Bank On It. Party is Afro-piano, while Bless Be and Bank On It are Afro-beats," he said.

The musician said the three singles were produced by Choco Jay from Nigeria.

"They were mixed and mastered by GT Beatz in South Africa. I am happy people are enjoying them.

"I started singing in a church choir at the age of nine. It was also interesting to listen to the choir singing worship songs," he said.

Promise said he started making music professionally at the age of 14.

"This was after I started learning about music production and ventured into deejaying.

"I worked with up-and-coming artists from Nigeria in the past. They make great music, and I love their work," he said.

The musician said he's happy to be part of Mzansi's music style.

"I'd like to work with any artists who relate with lyrics and tunes that touch the soul. Music is a universal language and has no boundaries," Promise said.
