AWARD-WINNING rapper Nasty C is enjoying being a new dad.

The 26-year-old artist, whose real name is Nsikayesizwe Ngcobo, took his son, Oliver to his listening session for his new album, I Love It Here on Monday, 11 September.

The baby boy was carried by his mum, Nasty’s long-term girlfriend, Sammie Heavens, at the event. Although they hid his face, he wore a blue romper and that was all fans could see.

The rapper and his little family had people on social media in their feels as the photo was circulated.

Nasty has been proudly talking about his son since announcing Sammie’s pregnancy in July 2023. He also dedicated a song to him titled Dear Oliver. The song is part of I Love It Here, which will drop on Friday, 15 September.

He also made a picture of his family the art cover for the album.

On Thursday, 7 September, he posted a video of himself embracing the weight he’s gained since becoming a dad.

“Hi, my name is Nasty C. I’m a new dad. This is my dad body and I love it. I love myself and I’m happy. I look great, I’m a strong black man, strong father and this (his weight) doesn’t make me insecure at all. In fact, it makes me confident,” he said in the video.

In an interview he had in Botswana for his and Cassper Nyovest’s tour, the African Throne Tour, he said his family inspires him to take care of his mental health.

“I’m a good space right now and I think I owe it to my family. My girlfriend and my newborn son, so I just keep that circle very close to me. They are kind of like my fence from the rest of the world and anything else where I process things.

"That’s why I keep a positive mind at all times. I’m fortunate,” he said.
