Nakhane robbed after Jozi show!

UK-BASED singer, songwriter, actor and novelist Nakhane Mahlakahlaka was robbed after a performance on Saturday, 21 May.

The incident happened outside Liquid Blue in Joburg. But the singer’s Instagram post did not disclose much detail about the incident, except that it happened after the show and they were in the company of a friend.

They wrote: “Joburg! Saturday night was a dream. A dream! I love you so much.

“I don’t think you will ever understand how much I love you. It’s taken me this long to talk to you because my friend and I got robbed outside Liquid Blue after the most amazing night.”

Nakhane’s supporters took turns comforting them.

  • Nzimande Simo said: “Hau, sorry sweetheart... ”
  • Kobus Burger commented: “Loved seeing you live on home soil again. So sorry you got robbed. Hope you and your friend are okay.”
  • Xola Thithiba Pikoli said: “Ohhh goodness, that’s terrible to hear. Sorry, hope you guys are okay. Saturday was a blessing.”
  • Nakhane, who is formerly known by the stage name Nakhane Toure, has appeared in several prolific films over the years such as , Ear For Eyes and Two Eyes.

Inxeba received mixed reactions in Mzansi, with several cultural groups calling for it to be canned in 2017.

The film tells the story of Xolani, a lonely factory worker who travels to the rural mountains with the men of his community to initiate a group of teenage boys into manhood.
