LONDON-based musician Latoya "Toya Delazy" Buthelezi visited her late mother, Princess Lethuxolo Buthelezi.

Toya Delazy posted a short and touching video of her next to her mother’s grave, with five oranges, on her Facebook page and her Instagram on Wednesday, 20 September.

She said: “Hi everybody I’m home."

Toya Delazy arrived in Mzansi on 13 September for her grandfather’s funeral.

She praised her grandfather for influencing her in her music during Prince Buthelezi's funeral on Saturday, 16 September.

“I want to acknowledge the relationship we shared. As a young child, he provided for my needs and served as a significant influence on my knowledge of my culture and becoming the artist I am today, rapping in Zulu.

“I remember him singing with me in the car and encouraging me on my path after I established myself as a musician. He said I had a gift for music like his mom, Princess Magogo.

"After I lost my mother and father, he and my grandmother played an important role in filling the void. I’m losing for the second time now,” she said.

Toya Delazy welcomed their first baby by the name of Kali Langa Chaigneau-Buthelezi with her wife, Alisson Chaig.

She has recently announced that she has been nominated for the best newcomer at the 2023 Production Music Awards in London.

She took to her Facebook page and said: “Celebrating exceptional production music from libraries and talented composers across the world! I’m new to library work, so this is exciting."
