ACCORDING to Inkabi Records producer Xolani "Xowla" Shabalala, summer is more important to the music industry.
The musician said this is because summer leads to the festive season and this is when music lovers enjoy themselves.
Xowla, who produced the much loved Inkabi Zezwe album, Ukhamba, will be hosting a show called Summer Night with Xowla Vosloorus Invasion at Mamncane’s palace in Vosloorus, Ekurhuleni on 2 September 2023.
The Intando hitmaker told Daily Sun that he will perform his new song featuring Big Zulu and DJ Tira at the event.
“I want to start summer on a higher note of fun and entertainment, as I will also share the stage with top musicians to bring more fun as we prepare for the festive season," said Xolwa.
He said he hopes by September the cold will be over but if not, they will bring the heat with their performances.
"There will be a variety on stage as we will have Afro-pop, maskandi and comedy,” said Xowla.

The musician from Ladysmith, KZN said it will be his first show in Gauteng as he has only hosted the event in his hometown.
“I hosted my first show in my hometown in Ladysmith last year and it was a sold-out event. But I sold limited tickets because it was my first time doing it and I was not sure if people would be interested," he said.
Xowla said after the show's success, he decided to make it an annual event.
Qwabe Twins, Inkosi Yamagcokama, Lwah Ndlunkulu, Mduduzi Ncube, Musiholiq, Amasibling, King Nuba, and Siya Ntuli will grace the stage and tickets start from R80 to R300.
Xolwa has also worked with the likes of Zandie Khumalo, Lwah Ndlunkulu, Qwabe Twins, as well as Mduduzi Ncube.
