THE Living Rock, a 21-member multicultural music group known for its vibrant choreography, is on the way to success.
The group was founded by King Norman Tshwale of the Mpepule Village in Bolobedu, Limpopo in 2013.
According to the group's Tiyiselani Mnisi, some of the members were worshipers at the church where the king was attending.
"This is when Tshwale saw a passion and love for music in these young people, and he decided to support it. Therefore, I bought a musical instrument. His royal family also got involved in helping the group when his son Prince Ashley Tshwale bought them a set of drums," he said.
He said the group is based in Jokong Village, just outside Giyani in Limpopo.
"We identify as multicultural group that sings gospel. The specific style gospel of genre depends on which culture each song falls," he said.

Mnisi said the group exists because of Tshwale's love for people and his passion to want to develop communities.
"His purpose for starting this group was to help us advance our talents and help us reach places and levels. We treat each other with love and respect," he said.
The members who come from different churches said the reason they sing gospel is because that's where their love is. He said people describe their music as unique and energetic.
"It's not easy because singing gospel music requires you to also live what you sing. One can be healed by the same song, another maybe inspired, and so on. It feels good. We are doing what we love and we are very happy. We are a group of singers and instrument players," he said.
He said they treat each other as big family.
Group member Mokgadi Manyama said: "I feel blessed to be part of The Living Rock as I got to appear on TV channels like One Gospel, Trace gospel, Dumisa TV, Moja Love TV and got to perform live at SABC Sunday Morning Live, including performing at the Crowns Gospel Awards and outside of South Africa."
Manyama thanked God for the opportunity and hopes He will continue to open more doors for the group.
In 2013, the group released the first album called Rea o leboga Jeso, and in 2015, they released their first live on-stage titled Ka Thapelo.
