MASKANDI artist Sibekezelo “Stability” Mvubu has composed a song about Babes Wodumo finding Mampintsha’s password after his death.

The title of the song is iPin kaMampintsha.

The song is not officially out, but is already trending on social media.

Stability said he composed it by chance.

“I was just playing with instruments and the lyrics came naturally,” he said.

Some of the lyrics are: “Who gave Mampintsha’s password to Babes? I suspect he came in a dream and gave it to her.”

According to Stability, the song is meant to be the voice of many people.

“The song was inspired by Babes Wodumo’s speech at Mampintsha’s funeral. In her speech, she revealed that Mampintsha died without giving her the password to his phone. But a few days later she announced that she found Mampintsha’s password,” said Stability.

“The question on everyone’s lips was, who gave her the password? So as an artist, I publicly asked the question. I am not expecting an answer, I know I will probably never get it. But at least I know I’ve started a debate.”

Stability said he never contacted Babes about the song and he is not sure if she knows about it.

Babes’ manager, Nondumiso Simelane, said: “Babes has heard the song and she was happy that fellow artists are being inspired in a positive way.”
