IT'S been a busy year for radio station Kaya 959.

The station has changed its radio shows more often than they’ve had to in the past few years.

It started with moving Sizwe Dhlomo from the afternoon drive show as a stand-in on the Breakfast show when Dineo Ranaka left, and putting Skhumba Hlophe and Thomas Msengana as stand-ins in the afternoon drive slot.

Now, they have made new changes, again.

Radio and TV presenter MaBlerh is now the new host of the Early Breakfast from 5am to 6am weekdays, taking over from Kgomotso Meso.

Kgomotso will now be hosting the 959 Weekend Breakfast show on Saturdays and Sundays from 6am to 9am. It was hosted by Sammy T, who is leaving the station.

Mo and Phindi, who hosted The Family between 9am and noon on Sundays, are also leaving the station.

The couple said they will miss the listeners.

“We wish to thank the Kaya management for the privilege of the platform, and the listeners for the warm reception. We will miss the listeners with whom we formed a very good relationship,” Mo and Phindi said.

Speaking about the changes, Kaya 959 managing director Colleen Louw said: “We're thrilled to welcome our esteemed presenters into their new time slots.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sammy T, Mo and Phindi for their contribution. We wish them well.”

She also said they will reveal a replacement for Mo and Phindi soon.
