MISS South Africa Ndavi Nokeri has activated a programme to empower over 300 girls.
The project, a partnership with Forever New and the Imbumba Foundation, was launched at Mashooro Secondary School in Ga-Mokgwathi Village outside Tzaneen in Limpopo on Tuesday, 29 November.
The activation comes after Ndavi launched her advocacy campaign Ed-Unite this year.
It aims to bridge economic gaps with a special focus on youth and schools.

The programme intends to raise funds for infrastructure facilities at schools, medical and menstrual hygiene support, sport facilities and mental wellness.
Pupils were over the moon when they got their first sanitary packs from Ndavi.
Grade 8 pupil Nomkera Kelani (14) said having Miss South Africa at her school inspired her.
“The sanitary packs will go a long way in making sure we continue coming to school every day,” she said.
Pupils said among the issues they faced at the school were teenage pregnancy, a shortage of sanitary towels and child-headed households.
Ndavi is also working with the Caring4Girls campaign, established in 2020, to support needy girls with sanitary towels and puberty education.
To date, the programme has empowered over 1,8 million girls across Mzansi and neighbouring countries.

Ndavi said: she was happy to put smiles on the faces of pupils. “No girl child deserves to stay home during menstruation because they don’t have sanitary towels.
“We want girls to only focus on their books, especially when they are writing exams,” she said.
Ndavi said she would be assisting pupils in other provinces when they returned to school in 2022.
