RISING amapiano and hip-hop star Mfana Kah Gogo is working on an international collaboration, which he hopes will open doors for him.
He’ll be working with US hip-hop singer, Olivia Theresa Longott.
Mfana Kah Gogo officially announced his exciting news on Ukhozi FM on Friday, 6 May.
He said Olivia, who is signed to 50 Cent’s record label G-Unit, was impressed by his work after seeing it on social media.
The 18-year-old, whose real name is Sipho Mbonambi, told Daily Sun Olivia sent him hip-hop songs and asked him to remix them to make them Afro-pop and amapiano style.
“They wanted us to do two songs in Mzansi style and I have finished recording my part. I have sent them back for Olivia to add vocals,” he said. “They asked me to do both songs using my language, Zulu, so the song will have African spice and rhythm.”
