AFTER being in the running for months, Mr South Africa has finally been crowned.
On Saturday, 28 November, 39-year-old Hannes Van Der Walt was announced as Mr SA during a virtual ceremony due to the global pandemic.
The Gauteng-born winner said his reason for entering was to be a catalyst for impact and change.
“South Africa and the world desperately need men who are willing to stand up for the family and family values,” said Hannes.

“We need men who will understand and fight for the importance of the family unit, irrespective of what that family looks like.”
The organisers said they were looking for a real-life, everyday hero.
“ We’re not looking for a male model. Mr South Africa is a platform to find the best male ambassadors for our country, someone the younger generation can look up to, a man that inspires.”
