MASKANDI star Khangelani ‘DSD’ Mhlongo has recovered from a kidney-related illness.
He has finally released his long-awaited pre-ordered album that was supposed to be released in December.
The album was initially set to be released on 10 December 2023 and his fans pre-ordered and paid for the album in advance. But its release was postponed due to his illness.
The delay led to frustration among fans, with some accusing him of scamming them and insulted him.

The multi-award-winning musician from Nkandla, KZN, titled his album One More Year, expressing gratitude to God for his recovery from the illness.
DSD said he thanks God and his ancestors that he survived when he and his family lost hope on his life.
He said those who were insulting and bad-mouthing him on social media that he scammed them are not his loyal fans.
“The illness turned me into an amateur in music and made me look like I’m disorganised or I’m scamming people," he said.
Despite setbacks, DSD's resilience shines through, showcasing why he's earned numerous accolades, including Satmas, Amantshontsho kaMaskandi awards, and MAZ Awards.
